[Premiere] Kelela – Waitin (whiterose Riddim)

After more than 3 years of existence, Ola Radio seeks to consolidate its links with the community and artists that it gathers by creating its own label : Olga Productions. Olga’s objective is to become a platform for the diffusion of artists from Marseille, France and above, whilst bearing the overall goal of pushing forward the geographic and sonic frontiers of electronic music. Starting on the 11th of February Olga Productions will release a series of compilations exploring major societal questions.

DELITEMENT, their first compilation, explores a major problem namely the issue of disintegration by asking the following question : “What will be left when current systems collapse, cycles disintegrate and the landscapes we know disappear?”.

Artists present on the compilation offer 10 musical narratives as potential answers or interpretations of other possible worlds.

DELITEMENT offers a sonic experience of a person discovering the latter new realities. He/she discovers a world in panic, whereby a decaying system out of breath encounters brutalist relics of an overwhelmed society, where festive nihilism and exacerbated digitalisation live side by side. Nature has taken back its rights on a gloomy, putrid world – a world marked by creative destruction whereby imminent danger is synonymous with a world where everything is to be rebuilt.

Musically, this translates into the encounter of oversaturated guitars, hyper-pop explosions, incisive glitches, auto-tuned melodies and organic ambient textures.
