[Premiere] Obsequies – Chrysalide

Carcass is Meine Nacht’s second venture; the debut EP is an avant-garde offering from Belgian artist Obsequies. Obsequies’ previous releases have been recognised for their display of dynamic sound design, haunting classical keys and glitching tension. The EP focuses on the dichotomy of beauty and chaos, a proprioception-manic pirouette of sound design, morphing dynamics, echoic space, eddying vocals, visceral breakdowns and pulsating offbeat rhythms; intended for the dance-floor or unconscious mind. Carcass also features two remixes by two special guests such as ssaliva and bod [包家巷].

The physical release is the first of it’s kind; a limited edition series of transparent records, each featuring an engraving of a 3-line poem in the centre part of the record, no inner label, transparent sleeve – only a short-run of these pieces available, designed by Breakwave.
