The third collaborative effort between producers Lila Tirando a Violeta and Sueuga sees the two artists effortlessly combining their styles for an organic, two-track sonic experience at the intersection between cyberpunk and Latin tribal mysticism. Distorted drums, eerie textures and abrasive industrial sounds come together in the unsettling heavy-hitter “Residual Self-Image”, while Lila’s vocal performance floats over the manic percussion and melodic minimalism of Sueuga and Tazar Yoot in “Archivios Corruptos”.
As intense as it is sudden, “Residual Self-Image” entangles the audience with its dark atmospheres and oppressive rhythms, making its rare bright passages precious instants of pure bliss.
