What to expect from The National’s new album “Sleep Well Beast”? Listen/Stream it now

One of the best rock bands of the last 20 years is back with what apparently seems like another great album. Four years after Trouble Will Find Me The National have moved to a more sophisticated phase for them and decided to implement their sound with more electronic features rather than classical orchestrations as they’ve done in the past. The result appears to be a little more ambitious than their latest record but it seems like fans are definitely appreciating this new direction. We’re sure the band could have easily wrote another classical “National sounding” album but no one needs another Boxer or another High Violet, we’re glad they had the same opinion when working on Sleep Well Beast. This said don’t expect a total revolution but just a small but significant shift in sound and mentality that definitely got things very interesting, adding another gem to their great discography.
